PROJECT MATTHEW SEED CENTER
The Project Matthew Seed Center will be the region’s pioneer in food multiplication initiatives, and will serve as a research and training facility for program participants, interns and volunteers. In order to set our Farmer Entrepreneurs up for a successful harvest, we will conduct research in nutritious, drought-resistant plant seeds, effective fertilization options, disease-resistant animal breeds and advanced agricultural techniques. This new generation of farmers will be better equipped with the skills they need for long-term agricultural success.
Our Seed Center will also serve as an education facility for the Nourish Program participants. We will equip them with information about nutrition and how they can improve their diet in order to avoid malnutrition.
